Exciting new class offering! Súgán, the Irish word for straw rope, is a traditional Irish style of chair seating. This wrapping technique is less physically demanding than rush weaving. The class will be taught using twisted seagrass, a double-ply cord in gorgeous green tones that will tone down with age. Bring a chair with 4 round rails and wear loose comfortable clothes. You must have moderate to strong hand, shoulder, and arm strength, and be able to work standing up. Modifications can be made for various conditions.
